K-Mac Posted June 19, 2008 Report Share Posted June 19, 2008 (edited) This story was pretty disturbing, then I got to the last few lines of the story and it made me sick. A recent graduate who had a baby during her freshman year told Time she knows why the girls wanted to get pregnant. "They're so excited to finally have someone to love them unconditionally," Amanda Ireland, 18, said. Many, if not most, parents seem to be raising completely insecure children and government schools are simply nurturing the neurotic behavior. If this story doesn't illustrate the desperate need for philosophical change in American society, I don't know what does.
