    2. Final Fantasy 9

    3. Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne

    4. Xenosaga(yes, I know it's a trilogy, but I love them all and have to count it as one :P)

    5. Secret of Mana

    6. Terranigma

    7. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

    8. Super Mario 3

    9. Super Mario RPG

    10. Star Ocean: The Second Story

  2. I'm also a huge fan of Yasunori Mitsuda(Chrono Cross is UNBELIEVABLE!)

    Other soundtracks I love:

    Secret of Mana

    Ecco the Dolphin

    Golden Sun

Also, the battle theme in Xenosaga 1 is great. Usually, I could care less about battle themes, but this one really stands out.

And of course, the original theme for Legend of Zelda is a classic.

  3. I agree on the idea of Atlas Shrugged being animated. I'd rather not read the book and then picture the faces of famous actors for the characters. Many of my favorite anime series are 24-26 episodes long. Basically, enough for one long season. Something like that would be great, though the only time we see one full season of any TV show in this country is when it gets cancelled. :/ Still, that amount of episodes would be enough to fit in enough important elements of the movie.

As for the speech, I say, trim it down to the bare essentials, and I agree about the montage. Give the viewer a chance to also see everyone's reaction. Not just the characters, but random people all over the country. Show the people who are understanding Galt's words, the blank or confused looks of the people who will never understand. People crying, people screaming, people smiling, etc.

I think that a one-season TV series is a much better idea than a movie.

  4. I've enjoyed watching Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, Rurouni Kenshin, The Wanderers, .hack//sign, Fushigi Yuugi, Witch Hunter Robin, Record of Lodoss War, and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Never really got into Trigun or Cowboy Bebop.

I prefer epic stories with plenty of comic relief, though I'll take either one at times.

  5. Aeris' theme makes me tear up, for obvious reasons. Though the music from the City of Ancients in FF7 is AMAZING. Also, the "War of the Magi" song during the intro to Final Fantasy 6 immediately captured my attention the very first time I played the game.

I'd have to say as far as video game music goes, I prefer Yasunori Mitsuda's work, especially from Chrono Cross(my favorite game and soundtrack), though Xenogears has a couple good songs as well. I've been trying to learn the ending theme for Chrono Cross, "Radical Dreamers- Unstolen Jewel" on the guitar.

  6. My favorite game is without a doubt Chrono Cross. Aside from excellent graphics and incredible music, I enjoyed the "free will vs. fate" theme of the game. FF7 is also a good game, and from what I've read here, a lot of people agree with me. :P

    ::FF7 SPOILER::

One thing I hate though, is the amount of people who argue that Aeris is supposed to be a martyr who willingly sacrificed herself for the planet. Considering the evidence suggesting that she had no intention of deliberately offering her life to save everyone else, I think her death was nothing more than a terrible tragedy. I mean, she cheers up the group by saying things like, "one day, we'll all look back at these times and laugh", she obviously was seeking a future with Cloud. Plus, her last line in the game was "I'll come back when it's all over,". Yes, her death plays a key part in the game's ending when she summons the lifestream, but that was only because I think "Holy" got screwed up when she was killed.

To sum it up, I hate the way people constantly paint her as a selfless altruist, when she clearly was not that at all.
