It's more work than that. The attributes that lead you to first differentiate a set of existents are by necessity not based on an advanced knowledge of them; that has to come later. At first, the most you could say is that all water looks alike. Inductive work is done from there. "Simple" induction can't account for the discovery of the chemical formula.
