Biography/Intro
I'm a computer geek, bibliophile, objectivist, radical capitalist, and music snob. I'm a lover of history, science, photography, fantasy, fairytales, hiking, exploring, cooking, genealogy, and Italian culture.
-
Experience with Objectivism
I'm slowly going through all of Ayn Rand's works. I've also read Radicals for Capitalism by Brian Doherty, Capitalism and Freedom by Friedman, The Libertarian Mind by David Boaz, and For A New Liberty: The Libertarian Manifesto by Rothbard.

I work as a computer specialist/network engineer for New York City Transit, but am also an amateur writer and am so very close to starting a blog about politics, especially discussing capitalism, objectivism, and similar topics.

For a straight up investing book, you should check out The Intelligent Investor (Revisted Edition) by Benjamin Graham. Also in the same field, A Random Walk Down Wall Street is another great choice.

Who Got Your Vote?
Digital Whispers replied to MisterSwig's topic in US Elections 2004/2008/2012/2016
I voted for him, but I am not as horrified to see him as I would have been to see her win. We might not know what he's capable of due to his lack of experience, but we KNOW what she's capable of. It's worrisome enough to give my vote to Trump. I couldn't vote for Johnson. I think he's far too liberal in some ways and I didn't want to vote for him just because he was running as a Libertarian. Then I'd be a hypocrite for criticizing Republicans for always voting Republican without even knowing the issues and the same with Dems.- 9 replies
