  1. An atheist tombstone should read: "All dressed up, and nowhere to go..."
  2. a pretty clever parallel between Kissing Hank's Ass, and worshipping God.
  3. I'm guessing you are "Moonglow", because it starts with the same 3 letters as "Moose" (I like how you cleverly included that clue (number '3'), in your question.) In all seriousness though - there is nothing more frustrating, than arguing with a fundie. Most of them have been so thoroughly brainwashed, that there is no hope left for reason. Here's a few funny fundie-related posts I've collected visiting that type of boards:
  4. "The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities." - Ayn Rand
  5. I remember the game was creeping me out. Come on - what about Tron?
  6. To which they would happily answer: "This is God's way of testing our faith".
  7. God placed those bones there, to test our faith .
  8. "If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it's free."
  9. The guy may be nuts, but that girl sure is cute (reminds me of some 60's movie star)
  10. I can't even imagine what I'm going to do with all this extra time (maybe learn another foreign language or something). Although collectively speaking, you did save over 1 hour of members' time (assuming we all end up having to wait through one search). (2500/4/60 ~= 1) P.S. Are you sure you lowered it to 15 sec for everyone else? Because I just got a flood control message, stating I have to wait 25 secs...
  11. Actually that's not my contribution either - I saw a similar juxtaposition on this website.
  12. Maybe I'm wrong, but it does seem to be one of the settings in the profile...
  13. I second this motion. Perhaps registered members only should have their delay shortened, while paying member should have no delay at all.
  14. Be prepared to fork over some royalty money - Goddess' posts seem to be copyrighted .
  15. I would visit the place just for that sentimental value alone.
  16. Talk about irony. Former 'savages' will be carrying the torch of civlization...
  17. Yes - but we know what was there before the North Pole existed. I am not asking about where the 'circle' starts, I am trying to understand how the 'circle' came into being.
  18. I'm hardly a fan of Jill Carroll, but she actually had little choice in the matter: I'd be praising the 'insurgents' as well if I was in her shoes... Which makes one wonder why your article boldly states this: The biased reporters (more likely terrorist supporters) conviniently omit the fact that she made the statement with a gun pointed at her head...
  19. What's the point of having a test then? Let's just give everybody 1600, to compensate for everyone's "learning disability".
  20. Actually "insurgents" are freedom-fighters - they fight freedom.
  21. Turns out prayers don't help – I could've told them that without performing a 10 year study: What's more – even the "prayer placebo" effect seems to be harmful: I just came up with a perfect idea for another study, which would determine which religion is the best. Repeat the study, but this time introduce different religions (Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism etc.), and see which one produces the best results. You could even mix it up a little, and have members of one religion, praying for a patient with different beliefs. After doing some correlation, you could determine which religion is most "destination blind" (sort of like type 0 blood). I would also suggest, picking only Atheist doctors, because otherwise Judaism may prove to be the most successful religion, while Jehova Witnesses would end up the least effective one (especially in patients requiring blood transfusion).
  22. Having read the article, I guess, the answer is that the Universe has always been, and will always be (the time-machine analogy makes that somewhat clear to me). But I'm still at a loss trying to understand how can something just exist, without having been created.
  23. "War and Peace" would be more like it...
