Need suggestions on what to talk about for my information speech. I'd like to do it over Objectivism, but I don't know how much I can possibly explain in 10-15 min. Naturally I'd have to start with the 3 axioms and explain those, but I'm sort of stuck on where to go after that... Anyone have any suggestions? Jason-

Why not vote Libertarian? -
But also, keep in mind the underlying love for Dagny that he had through out his life since their youth. I for one wouldn't want to go into a small community with a woman that I had loved all my life who would never be able to return the feeling. I believe that would have also had a bearing on his choice (given it) to go or stay behind. Jason-

I know this is basically what happens in Atlas, but I can't form the right reply or problems with it at the moment. Got it off another forum, by the way...

Family Religious Background of Objectivists

Raised Lutheran. Currently undecided. -
Pretty sure it was shortly after James Taggart married Cherryl. Francisco makes several ludes to why Taggart married her in the first place.

Hey everyone, I trust most of your have read A.S., so perhaps you can help me. I'm trying to find a section where Francisco is talking to Rearden about the woman that he loves (Dagny; but Rearden doesn't know at this point). Francisco goes on about how a man should love a woman for her strengths and virtues instead of her weaknesses and vices - or something to that effect. I'm having no luck locating it in the book, and as much as I loved it, I rather not read it again just to find that section. If anyone is familiar w/ the passage and has a good idea even about the chapter, I would be extremely greatful!! Jason-

God as self-evident via the senses?

I could be off, but doesn't this come back to the question of "If a tree falls and no one is around to experience it, does it make a noise?" -
Hey everyone, just a quick intro. Jason W here from Houston; transfering to Providence, RI this Sept. Just finished Atlas Shrugged about an hour ago, then got online and checked out Google for "Egoist" and came across the site. Going to start Objectivism: The Philosophy of Ayn Rand when I get some free time. Looking forward to reading the site, Jason-
