A satire of an ad agency where everyone speaks what's really on there minds.

Ok, I work in Promotions, so I've been to enough of these meetings and around agencies long enough to verify: this stuff is 100% true.

Most Ad-Work is just lies compounded upon lies.

An

in Val's Art Diary. A fascinating young artist and businesswoman takes the recent shooting down of a spy satellite and segues it into the power of art to demonstrate human progress.

You know, it is in moments like this that I stop to think how far we as humans advanced, as far as as technology and all that. I mean, yep, shooting down satellites, what's next, they launch transporting to Mars or something like that?

I tried to take a look at her gallery, but unfortunately at present it is down while she does a redesign of her website.

Hat tip: commenter 'wm' on this Samizdata post. Yes, definitely a breath of fresh air!

"This is John Galt speaking."

I just came upon this series today which dramatizes Galt's speech. It uses an excellent audiobook recording combined with video and wonderful music. Parts 5-11 are particularly well done. I've really enjoyed these!

I second that. They're also good if you want to introduce people to Objectivism - they give a good grounding of what Objectivism really is.

Also, I found that Johnny Carson interview with Ayn Rand:

(Couldn't resist posting that).
