Jake_Ellison
Redneck Advertising: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFPsaxdzyAQ Up 'ere, when you engage in what the federal government calls "illegal activity" but what we call "a man tryin' to make a livin' for his family sellin' moonshine liquor," it behooves oneself to keep his wits. Long story short, we hear a story too good to be true... it ain't.

Thales
Glenn Beck recently (1/22/10) had a special that covered the deadliness of various collectivist regimes and their supporters. I highly recommend this program for a glimpse at what the people who perpetrated these social systems thought and what they did. What they did really stands out, because it shows they meant what they said. It covers Hitler, Stalin, Mao, et. al. Che Guevara is in it as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWAAqsoRG3g...feature=related You won't believe how bad George Bernard Shaw was. Grames
I blame Diana Hsieh's blog mentions of Lady Gaga for even looking in that direction. My own reactions have evolved from "Wtf??!!?" to "Brilliant!" With 103 million views and counting, she is everyone's favorite crazy bitch. K-Mac
I still don't get it. A few of her songs are somewhat catchy, the lyrics are generally dumb and that video left lots to be desired. It seems to embody the term "bad art."
Alfa
I still don't get it. A few of her songs are somewhat catchy, the lyrics are generally dumb and that video left lots to be desired. It seems to embody the term "bad art." Hey, don't be hatin'! The lyrics are brilliant. She's playing lovegames and bluffin with her muffin; she's so fabulous, fierce and nuts. Nah, I just think she makes good/catchy pop/dance-music and has a little weird but cool style. Plus, she seems like a real sweetheart and her ass is almost epic. Don't know if i'd call it good art though, except maybe for that last part.
Steve D'Ippolito
.... Well, I actually watched the whole thing. Not a fan but at least the rap influence (which seems to pollute everything these days) is minimal to non-existent. With all the costume changes it was hard to keep track of who she was at times, important since I was trying to confirm Alfa's 'ass'essment. (Not enough views from the right angle for me to decide one way or another.) Liked her face in some of the dozen or so versions of makeup it appeared in. Alfa
It's kind of hard to assess her assets from her videos and I fear that most pictures of her won't do it much justice. However this one should give you a pretty good idea of it's magnificence(note: not very safe for work): http://pici.se/pictures/eVxbuBJtP.jpg

Grames
From Carl Sagan's Cosmos, a condensed history of "The Beginning." I particularly the music of Vangelis in this sequence: This is one of the all time worst explanations of the Big Bang theory. It actually uses "God-cam" floating in space watching the Universe explode into being. This engenders endless confusion, and contradicts Sagan's own atheism. Thales
This is one of the all time worst explanations of the Big Bang theory. It actually uses "God-cam" floating in space watching the Universe explode into being. This engenders endless confusion, and contradicts Sagan's own atheism. Carl Sagan is (or was) an astronomer, a professor at Cornell, so he knows the theory. From what I understand, that is the standard view. I didn't get any God implications from it, myself. I think you're reading into it something that's not there, especially when Sagan goes to pains to explain why he doesn't believe in a god in that same series. Grames
The visualization is all wrong. We are fighting that scenario everytime a new thread comes up asking about what existed before the universe, or asking for an explanation of time or eternity.
