NeuroSophy
I'm going to see him at RPI, provided my orgo prof lets me take my exam on a different night. --J
danielshrugged
We had a modest audience of about 35-40 for Dr. Locke's talk tonight, but I just thought I'd brag that when one considers that Annapolis is a small town and that St. John's only has 470 students, that would equal an attendance of 2,000 or more at a larger school in a larger city. So there.
AshRyan
Nice job! How was Dr. Locke's lecture?
danielshrugged
Overall, it was pretty good, though I have already received some criticisms from some people who attended, including my roommate. Dr. Locke had a five minute history of philosophy at the beginning that my roommate and I think was unnecessary and distracted from his main point. And five minutes is never enough for a history of philosophy. But if one ignores that flaw, it was a clear illustration by means of examples of how emotions stem from ideas and what this means in practice.
