I think we should be more active at NorwayLoto. Also, we should somehow prove Sebulba's "Propaganda!" being a propaganda on which I'm working right now. All we need to do is more activism, of course.

I'm still behind the different orgs for building hospitals, etc... I'm going to have some extra time in a few days and plan on looking into the matter in more detail. I did talk with a hospital maker in U.S. who builds and donates Q5 hospitals, and he's not a government entity. So, it is a very real possibility, even in the game. I'll be talking to him more in the future.

The US is as socialist. Plus, the US was Russian territory at the time. The deeper reason is that we could (have) gotten about 25% of congress, since it's a small country.

I am, however, researching alternatives. Brazil, Sweden, Bulgaria, Pakistan, Australia, China and Thailand are low-tax alternatives. It just does not look to be possible to run a business in Norway.

Two congressmen, in fact. It's interesting how it's like real Norway. When someone speaks English in the room, they switch to English.

Right now, there are 7 KP members in Østland (plus one guy who isn't registered but we can count on him) 3 of whom might read this, 14 in Vestland (5 of whom might read this), 2 in Svalbard, 1 in Trøndelag, and none in Sørland or Nord-Norge. There are also 261 residents in Vestland, 132 in Østland, 50 in Nord-Norge, 48 in Sørland, 42 in Trøndelag and 31 in Svalbard. As I recall, last time there were only 5 candidates in Svalbard so everybody who ran, won. Otherwise, it took 3 votes to get elected unless you were from Vestland (because there are so many votes and candidates from Vestland).

Bearing in mind that the two 6 vote-getters in each region win, the chances are greatest of getting elected if you are from an under-populated region. The apparent disadvantage of being somewhere other than Østland or Vestland is that there's no hospital so it would cost health to move to Nord-Norge. However, there are in fact only 2 congressmen who live in non-hospital regions. I am fairly confident that Stassivik ran from Nord-Norge, but now he's in Østland. Thus the disadvantage is apparent: all you have to do is move to a non-hospital region when you declare your candidacy and hang out for a few days. If you are not a candidate, I believe you can move on election day to the right region, so that you can vote for a KP candidate.

So: I plan to move to Nord-Norge at an advantageous time. Maybe if folks make clear what their plans are here, we can redistribute our numbers to take advantage of the low vote-thresholds of no-hospital regions and snarf up more seats in Congress.

RussK, you suggested the idea of a contribution fund for a hospital; I think it's a good idea, but it's something we should do something about. Do you feel like writing an editorial for Mainstream Capitalistic? I think we need to be writing more editorials.

There seems to be no public decision about which region will get the hospital, if/when they finish it. I would not expect that they would put it in Nord Norge, but strategically that is the most important region for a hospital (and a defensive system), in order to increase the population and the cost of attack (NN being the region that can be attacked by Russia).

What do you think is better. One org for general hospital fund or a hospital fund for each region without a hospital. Your idea about one fund seems like the best for getting one hospital the in the quickest manner, for the security of the country. The multiple funding orgs would be good in that citizens from each of the lacking regions are more responsible for the constructions and each would be able to see exactly how much gold has been donated to their particular fund. Of course, with each plan, a lot of donations would have to come outside of the low populated regions anyway.

I'll speak with some of the country's leadership about where they got the current hospitals for the populated areas and try to bring a few in. No matter what solution we pick, trusted spokesmen for each party is going to have to participate for oversight.

Here's part of a correspondence I had in the beginning of the month with a hospital builder in the USA:

RussK,

.

Re: "According to the wiki, the quality of a hospital increases according the the amount of wood. Is this correct? If so, what role does the quality of the wood play, if any?"

~ Weird. That is totally incorrect. The only factor deciding the quality of the hospital, is the quality of the hospital company.

~ The wood functions like every other raw material. The quality of the raw material is equal to the number of raw material units (RMU) added to the company stock; Q1 wood adds 1 RMU, Q2 adds 2 RMU, etc.

.

Re: "Additionally, is it possible for your company to offer a hospital in another country, like Norway (where I reside)?"

~ Yes. A company must purchase an export license, which costs 20 gold, and may then export to any nation which does not have a trade embargo or war.

.

Re: "Lastly, given your prices for a hospital in America, are you a government sponsored entity?"

~ No. I pay for all costs 100%, and donate the hospitals to the eUSA.

~ I was unhappy with the status quo, and decided to take independent action.

~ All of my workers are volunteers work for low wages.

~ I also have an agreement with the eUSA military to use their high-skill workers; giving them hiring priority and firing as needed for deployments.

~ I often talk with the executive and military leaders in my country to discuss where/when they want to place the infrastructure. I also sell discount hospitals to allied nations at their request.

.

Let me know if you have any more questions. :)

.

V/r,

Max

Of course, this goes to show that these types of programs do work, contrary to the negativity espoused by eNorway leadership in weeks past.
