SapereAude
A case to watch closely: Woman seeks Christian roommate to share her home, state sues for discrimination - http://bit.ly/c0p0se Generally the law has been that "fair housing" laws only apply to rentals- not to sharing space in your private residence. If the state gets its way in this it could set a dangerous precedent- not even being allowed to choose the person you live with.
Greebo
Absolutely ludicrous. Setting aside the immorality of telling landlords that they can't discriminate irrationally, the woman is a private citizen! The Fair Housing Act was intended for real estate agents, lenders, landlords and property management companies. I look forward to seeing this charge dismissed and HOPEFULLY those responsible being fired.
