d'Anconia
I don't know whether to laugh or cry... It seems that the idiots of the UN are at it again: UN document would give 'Mother Earth' same rights as humans
utabintarbo
Shouldn't this be under "Religion"?
Dante
Wow. Grotesque. Although I laughed when I read about Mother Earth's ombudsman who would hear complaints on her behalf. Some of the statements about balance and not being too extreme could be right out of Atlas Shrugged if they were focused on business and profits. Xall
Ombudsman == priest??? "...an ombudsman whose job is to hear nature's complaints as voiced by activist and other groups, including the state." Considering recent developments for religion in my country, I'd agree with you...exactly like a priest, and the curious phenomena of how "nature's complaints" are "voiced" only by some particular groups, as though they seem to have a monopoly on this revelation
Amaroq
This makes me want to punch somebody. Does the stupidity ever end?
aequalsa
In related news, 'Indigenous thinking can solve climate crises,' says Bolivia's foreign minister http://www.guardian.co.uk/global-development/poverty-matters/2011/apr/13/bolivia-foreign-minister-solving-climate-crises Ironically, he's probably right since "indigenous thinking", generally applied, would lead to the near extinction of humans on the planet.
