softwareNerd
Since the majority of forum members are U.S.-based, almost all the current-affairs topics tend to be about things happening in the U.S. I know we have some non-U.S. members. Personally, I'm curious about what's going on elsewhere in the world, and would enjoy reading commentary from Objectivists living anywhere in the world. So, post away! aequalsa
whYNOT
Heh. Don't ask, it is too depressing. Let's just say South Africa is well ahead of the US curve in its quest for 'progressivism', but with its own unique Marxist flavoring.. Good part: so far, it's too inefficient, wasteful and corrupt to implement all controls. So far.

For instance, the other day Public Radio did a program on South Africa, talking about how there has been a whole generation that has grown up under democratic/black rule and feels less aligned to the ANC, and what that might mean for politics going forward. I find things like that interesting. In the case of South Africa, I'd be curious to know how things have changed for the good and for the bad over the last few decades, and to understand a best-guess prognosis for the next few decades.
