Education Emancipation: HOW?

C. Bradley Thompson from an ARI lecture, speaks about the abolition of government schools (public schools) here:

http://www.aynrand.org/site/PageServer?pagename=reg_ls_school

and in his article he has in the current issue of The Objective Standard:

http://www.theobjectivestandard.com/issues/2012-winter/new-abolition.asp

But how?

He mentioned a mass exiting of them to the private sector.

So... any thoughts on how to abolish government school, or a way towards such abolition?

My thoughts:

What about students becoming truants? (I get this idea from Isamu Fukui series titled, The Truancy) or how about parents not delivering their children/teens over to such schools? More practical just to go private?

We need people to stop worshipping teachers before we can deal with this problem. I would say there isn't anything that can be done but to run a long term propaganda campaign making the school system and teachers look terrible. After that you can start explaining what everyone is already observing. After that a move can be made towards abolishing it.

There are some seconday ways in which this issue can be fixed however. For one the spread of good values and ideas is gernerally a good things. A reduction in unwanted children would be good also. If most parents actually cared about there children in the way they should, the school system would quickly be seen as an enemy and not as free day care. So encouraging rational parenting and sex practices.

The government will still collect taxes to run the loot funded government ordained schools if for no other reason than to provide jobs for teachers. If the Good Guys run from the public school and the attendance goes to zero, the teachers will stand in front of rows and rows of empty seats. And the Good Guys will still be taxed.

Your secenario is unrealistic. If that many people were dissatisfied with the school system people would abolish them through electoral politics.

Even the, it would be unlikely that state governors would ever allow things to get that bad. They would most likely do mass lay offs abolish teachers unions, and subsidize alternative forms of education before this would happen. This is basically what is starting to happen already.

You are an optimist.
