mdegges
Is it an .exe program that you want to run on your iphone? The last answer on this page might be worth a look.
Nicky
No. You can access a windows virtual machine (that's running on your Mac), with this: http://lifehacker.com/5638034/parallels-desktop-comes-to-ios You might even be able to access a PC, at this point, the same way (though I don't know anything specific). But you can't RUN a Windows program on the Iphone. Not yet, anyway. Eventually, it will happen the same way it's done on the Mac (through a VM). But I don't think the Iphone's processing power and storage capabilities are quite enough to support it yet. And, even if they are, any company that wants to develop that needs the phone maker's support. And it's pretty clear that Apple doesn't want anything foreign running on their phones, let alone a virtual machine capable of running Android, or even Windows. So we're far more likely to first see this technology on non-Apple devices. I know VmWare is working on something like this. Plasmatic
Thanks for the responses. I think I will have to use one of the apps that let me use my PC from an Iphone.

mdegges
Isn't it just a compilation of all Rand's works in ebook format? I read that it went out of production about 5 years ago, so I'm not sure exactly what it is. Edited June 6, 2013 by mdegges
dream_weaver
It is a compilation of most of Rand's works in a format which allows for reading the texts on any platform that can support the software. .  It provides for customized searches with some editable parameters for finding related passages across the different works along with a bookmarking option for managing them.  If the application was loaded onto a thumb-drive it can be executed from the thumb-drive, but only on via machine it was loaded from. mdegges
Oh cool. You can do the same stuff (read, bookmark, search, and much more) with Calibre, if you have ebooks:  The basic workflow for using calibre is to first add books to the library from your hard disk. calibre will automatically try to read metadata from the books and add them to its internal database. Once they are in the database, you can perform various Actions on them that include conversion from one format to another, transfer to the reading device, viewing on your computer, and editing metadata. The latter includes modifying the cover, description, and tags among other details. Note that calibre creates copies of the files you add to it. Your original files are left untouched.  You can get this on practically every device (iphones included) & sync your library across all your devices- more info here. Edited June 7, 2013 by mdegges
