Hillary Clinton’s top campaign aide, and the woman who might be the future White House chief of staff to the first female US president, for a decade edited a radical Muslim publication that opposed women’s rights and blamed the US for 9/11.

[Huma] Abedin was assistant editor of the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs working under her mother, who remains editor-in-chief. She was also working in the White House as an intern for then-first lady Clinton.

Headlined “Women’s Rights Are Islamic Rights,” a 1996 article argues that single moms, working moms and gay couples with children should not be recognized as families. It also states that more revealing dress ushered in by women’s liberation “directly translates into unwanted results of sexual promiscuity and irresponsibility and indirectly promote violence against women.” In other words, sexually liberated women are just asking to be raped.

“A conjugal family established through a marriage contract between a man and a woman, and extended through procreation is the only definition of family a Muslim can accept,” the author, a Saudi official with the Muslim World League, asserted, while warning of “the dangers of alternative lifestyles.” (Abedin’s journal was founded and funded by the former head of the Muslim World League.)

Where are the feminists expressing outrage, or even concern? Where are the gay rights activists?

This is why political correctness will be the death of us. If even feminists and gay rights activists, who strongly support Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, won’t discuss the “elephant in the living room,” that Hillary has a fundamentalist Muslim as her closest aide, then there’s little hope of expecting Clinton’s administration to take on Islamic terrorism any more effectively than Obama’s. In short: we’re screwed.

Political correctness, while often absurd and too ludicrous to believe, is far from funny. With respect to Islam, PC has reached a point where it invites us to risk moral and psychological degradation, if not ultimately physical annihilation, for the sake of … not appearing to be bigoted or “racist.”

Hillary Clinton once wrote that it takes a village to raise a child. This was her rationalization for involving government coercion in just about every sector of our personal lives. Evidently it takes a Muslim to keep America safe. Even if that Muslim in question once worked for a journal expressing an ideology totally at odds with America’s very existence as well as Hillary Clinton’s own alleged “progressivism.”

Here we have a religion – Islam – which openly attacks gays and lesbians, women, and actually just about everyone (including inconsistent Muslims) who disagree with them. Their attacks are not only verbal, but brutally physical, barbaric in the extreme. We all know it. Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, just like Barack Obama’s presidency, consists of pretending that none of this is true, decrying as racist and bigoted anyone who dares to question anything Islamic.

Hillary Clinton’s most trusted aide supports a publication which talks about “Islamic rights” over and above the rights of the individual (female, gay or otherwise). Doesn’t this at least merit mention? Does nobody want to take on Hillary Clinton for such incredibly bad judgment?

Think about how twisted and sick this is. And then consider the fact that Hillary’s own most trusted advisor—a woman who might, in effect, be America’s “co-president,” as important aides often are—has a history of working for a movement which openly scorns America, women, gays and—more fundamentally—liberty and reason themselves.

I can hardly believe I live in a country where a majority seem poised to elect this woman president. But here we are.

As I’ve said, one’s status as a Muslim has nothing whatsoever to do with one’s race. Your religious and ideological affiliations are a matter of choice; your DNA and skin pigmentation are not. Islam is a religious ideology, one associated with most of the violence and terrorism going on in the world today. While not all Muslims are violent, nearly everything done in the name of that religion is. And high profile Muslims like Huma Abedin are not speaking out against it. Imagine the rage and indignance if she were asked to do so.

We can only assume that while gay rights and women’s issues are supposedly important to Hillary Clinton, there’s something else even more important to her. Whatever that “something” is, you’re to find the clue in her refusal to take on Islam with even the slightest bit of criticism. Ditto for Obama and all the others who would employ the same policies in Hillary’s place. This includes, no doubt, many Republicans as well.

We can only assume the same is true of Hillary Clinton’s and the Democratic Party’s many supporters. As much as they might want gay marriage and equal pay for women (leaving aside the specifics of these issues), they want to protect Islam even more. Why? It’s like an ongoing detective story. The mystery, once, solved, will not be pretty.
