dream_weaver
Will the two ever mix? Not without an emulsifier. Individual rights, liberty, independence have been watered down. and the slippery slopes have been well oiled. The emulsifier can only be introduced by understanding that "[r]ights" are a moral concept—the concept that provides a logical transition from the principles guiding an individual's actions to the principles guiding his relationship with others—the concept that preserves and protects individual morality in a social context—the link between the moral code of a man and the legal code of a society, between ethics and politics. — from the appendix of Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal, written by Ayn Rand. While emulsifiers for water and oil have been discovered and are being used in the field of chemistry, their philosophic counterparts have yet to be implemented in a similar manner.
