It still worked under Windows 7... TIA Edited November 16, 2016 by AlexL Spelling error

Nicky
Windows has a compatibility mode (allows new versions to run software made for older versions). It's not perfect, but it often works. And, if it doesn't, I suggest a virtual machine...allows you to launch any OS from within your Windows 10. A VM takes some time and effort to learn to work with, but it might come in useful for more than just this one piece of software. As you said it should work, I tried harder... and it worked !!! I added the drive letter where the CD is to the "Target" path in the shortcut, and that was it! The program then asked for the license code - for the first time. It also worked in the CD-less mode. Many thanks, dream_weaver!! 19 hours ago, Nicky said: Windows has a compatibility mode ... Thank you too, Nicky.
Tom Hall
It works for me without any non-standard compatibility settings (I upgraded from 8 to 10) , but I have to re-enter the registration key nearly every time I use it. dream_weaver
I've noticed it asks for the registration key frequently as well. I exported the registry key from Windows Registry. Next time it prompts for the key, I should be able to import it, rather than re-type it. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-3568061070-1583890934-3826068171-1000\SOFTWARE\Classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\OliverComputing\Obj_CDROM_100\password] @="********************************" where **** is your CD key. AlexL
It works OK for me, I don't have to reenter the key, at least not in CD-less mode.
dream_weaver
It usually asks for it again after Windows runs an update.

dream_weaver
I haven't tried importing the exported *.reg file yet. I take it worked for you?
