I don't know if it's cultural or a linguistic gulf that the audience did not chuckle or otherwise respond to the presentation until the polite applause at the end. People in Scandinavian countries tend to be much quieter than in other Western countries and think of their "personal space" as being much larger. Also (this isn't relevant; it's just cool), if they run out of breath in mid-sentence they'll continue speaking while inhaling. So although Yaron's reception wasn't exactly enthusiastic, neither was it as bad as it would've seemed coming from an American audience.
