You can order VHS there and it says coming soon to DVD. It's quite good!

Coming Soon - Order We the Living on DVD!

Be sure to wait for this special edition DVD, complete with deleted scenes and interviews with those involved in bringing this classic to the United States. Check back in late August, 2009 for availability.

It's spectacularly good. I was just wondering aloud the other day when it would finally be released on DVD, and here it is. It says "with deleted scenes." I hope they didn't put them back into the movie proper, because the deleted scenes were deleted for good reason. If they are just segregated in some bonus feature area, that would be ok. But if I remember correctly, the stuff that was deleted was collectivist and altruist garbage that was not part of the novel, obviously.

Can't wait for it to come out, though. It's one of the very few VHS movies I still own.

The site says:

It is now available on DVD.

I would now like to put a film up that I watched not long ago, a movie with Gywneth Paltrow staring in it as Sylvia Plath titled Sylvia.

My favorite part:

Start it at 3.48 watch till 7.50:

Love it! Wish I was the type of man that could make a literary lioness do that! :D

I finally saw Shawshank Redemption.

Goddamn it is a fantastic film.

One of the greatest lines in movie history (the last one):

Red: [narrating] And that's how it came to pass that on the second-to-last day of the job, the convict crew that tarred the plate factory roof in the spring of forty-nine wound up sitting in a row at ten o'clock in the morning drinking icy cold, Bohemia-style beer, courtesy of the hardest screw that ever walked a turn at Shawshank State Prison.

Captain Hadley: Drink up while it's cold, ladies.

Red: [narrating] The colossal prick even managed to sound magnanimous.
