I love Johnny Cash and, from the previews, Joaquin Phoenix was the perfect choice to play him. Although, in my opinion, the movie should have been titled "The Man in Black." Mainly due to the fact I love Johnny Cash's music and June Carters for that matter. I almost didn't go due to the fact Joaquin Phoenix is in the movie. I have issues with his active role with PETA and radical veganism. Reese Whitherspoon was amazing in this movie I must say. Suprisingly so, perhaps her best portrayal to date.
