I want to understand how members at OO.net usually navigate through the forum. How do you find threads to read or to respond? I am interested in the usual ways each individual uses. So, for example if you use the "My Assistant" option sometimes, but rarely that is not of interest.

The answers could help us better organize the forum.

Other than the answers above, any other comments that illustrate how you normally navigate the web-site would be appreciated.

Elaboration on my "some other way" response:

I usually come in on the main Objectivism Online page. On the right, there is a column that is headed: "Objectivism online forum", and this column has about 15 or so of the posts with the most recent responses to them. This is pretty much the only way I navigate to threads. (Or through links to related threads contained within the one I read initially).

I most commonly visit the forum by checking my "Live Bookmarks" in Firefox. I am subscribed to the forum via RSS. I open up the bookmark and click on an active thread that interests me in the bookmark folder. After I read that thread, I usually hit "View New Posts" at the top of the forum. This method is streamlined and efficient for my purposes.

Thanks.

BTW: I think that list is the "New Posts", but only the most recent 15. There isn't any editorial judgement about what does or doesn't appear in that list.

I'm not sure about that . . .I've noticed new threads won't show up there until they have a reply on them.

Of course, I could be imagining things, but I don't think so.
