Objectivist since 1967. I'm not a superior Randian cultist, though I knew several of those nasty neurotics in N. Y. City. Until '67, I was turned off by political/economic/intellectual talk because speakers seemed to be concealing, rather than revealing, what was on their minds _ maybe because those issues really were not understandable, like math, anyway. Then I discovered Rand. Wow, what a thrill! I never knew that there was such a thing as a science of sciences: philosophy. I discovered that thinking was a basic skill that must be learned. Epistemology led me to see that the world is understandable, after all. And it can be such a wonderful place for those who want to see it and act accordingly. I followed up by reading all her books and her other publications, Brandon, Peikoff, David Kelley, Y. Brook, others. Also seminars, speeches, ARI Web site, Atlas Society site, other objectivist sites. Joined NYC Gotham Objectivist Club.
