Prof. John David Lewis, the author of multiple books and a great speaker, has passed away.

Here was his Boston Tea Party speech from 2009:

Wow that's awful! It seemed like he was doing okay. How sad. I agree with other comments elsewhere that he was a total inspiration. When he was speaking you forgot where you were and got drawn into his words. He was a great man and the world was a better place for having him.

Through FB and here are the first I've heard of this man, but he sounds awesome. His death is unfortunate, especially when he seemed so young still (late 50's?). I'm linking that speech to FB too, it's the best I've seen of the tea party speeches.
