    The "voluntary slavery" topic along with some local current events got me thinking about the issue of guardianship. I think this involves some very complicated issues, and I thought some discussion here might help me clear up my thinking about this. First of all, what are the rights of a guardian (say a parent) as opposed to the rights of a child, and when, if ever, is it appropriate for the government to intervene?     As a door to door salesperson, I deal with contracts on a daily basis. One of the most annoying aspects of the process is dealing with what is called "buyers remorse."
