    I am a young guy at the age of 22 stuyding engineering in Ghent (Belgium). I love it there because it's really difficult and I have to work hard. Next to that I'm also an artist, I draw and I play the piano. Yet I didn't chose any of those things as my career because I want to have my own business and become a captain of industry. I'm interested in arts, applied engineering, economics, philosophy.
  • Experience with Objectivism
    My friend first told me about the fountainhead about 1.5 years ago and after watching the first part of the movie "Atlas Shrugged" I got very excited. I started reading "Atlas Shrugged" and I was immeadiatly sold to the idea of objectivism and for me it's now the only way (for me) to live. Meanwhile I've finnished reading Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead. I'm now going to do some futher research into Objectivism as a philosophy and afterwards I'm planning to read "The virtue of Selfishness".

    Hello, I've been at the university for a couple of years and I've been to many student groupings ranging from deparment groups as to general philosophical groups. Yet nothing seems to be very inspirational, clearly structured or even interesting. I also noticed that Ayn Rand and more specifically Objectivism hasn't had much attention in Belgium yet and I want to change this. For this reason, I would like to reach out here to fellow Belgian Objectivists to come together. My idea, currently, is to start a student grouping for students interested in Objectivism.
