  • Biography/Intro
I was born and raised in Texas by Baptist Republicans, ran away from the ideals I was born into when I realized I was gay and became a left leaning Democrat practicing every neo-pagan religion I could get my hands on. Then one day I discovered atheism and finally Objectivism and woke up from the silly daydreams I had found my mind mired in. Now I am a bit older, and still not exactly where I want to be in my life, but I am working towards it in a much more constructive way. I have found a partner to share my life with and who, while he doesn't follow the same philosophy as me, still shows an uncanny abundance of rational thought and we share many of the same points of view. I am a huge book worm and love to read anything and everything, including conflicting viewpoints. I like to cook and to spend time outdoors. I don't watch much television or movies, and I don't even really listen to music all that much as I'd much prefer the quiet of reading a good book.
  • Experience with Objectivism
I have read On the Virtue of Selfishness, and I've started both Atlas Shrugged and Fountainhead, though I've yet to fully finish either. It is a common problem with me to not be able to read all the way through such large books in one piece.

  1. "With beat of systole and of diastole One grand great life throbs through earth's giant heart, And mighty waves of single Being roll From nerveless germ to man, for we are part Of every rock and bird and beast and hill, One with the things that prey on us, and one with what we kill." Oscar Wilde
