  1. l love the show Criminal Minds. lt affirms an aspect of reality that is rarely mentioned in society though rampant. It revolves around people getting their "jollies" or "release" as they call it in the show, by eg committing arson or murdering innocent people. l'm convinced that many professional movie reviewers are in this catagory. Under the veil of intellectualism, all they do is urinate on peoples pop corn movies whilst also secretly craving to urinate into peoples pop corn as well. This is real life folks, not the veneer people show the world. So watch the series and learn about the real world. Regards
  2. As has been pointed out elsewhere, Stingrays are not typically "killer" animals. You imply in the above that Steve was behaving in a responsible manner with the stingray. According to news reports, he was deliberty close to the animal when it speared him through the heart. To me, that was reckless. This man did not just take "businessman risks" that all of us are forced to take in everyday life, eg driving a car . His risk taking was on a higher plain, and finally basic maths prevailed ie if you do something very risky over and over, eventually your number will come up. His high risk taking amounted to "selling his soul to the devil" for fame and fortune. Being kind to the man, he did reinvest all of his 20 million dollar per year income back into conservation. Some consolation to the family he left behind and should have considered with his dangerous life style. After having children, he should have played a much more conservative hand. Regards
  3. We live in a world of probability not certainty, and the crocodile hunter knew he was in a high risk endevour, in fact it was his gimic like Elvis's pelvis. l dont mean to be insensitive but what he constantly did was dangerous, irrational and the outcome predictable. Something is not right in honoring without qualification, a man who acted so foolishly, and why is every one "shocked". Regards
  4. l disagree that tolerance is willful suspension of of judgement against someones bad qualities. eg in my workplace, l am constantly surrounded by people whose politics and sexual practices l disagree with, but l keep my mouth shut, not abusing them. This to me is tolerance.. lts interesting that intolerance is a very powerful human drive - no one likes it when someone diagrees with us. It seems mother nature wants us to embrace the pro life narrow gate, and shun the anti life broad way. Hardly surprising that leftwingers keep railing that we should all be more tolerant. l'm very happy with my "intolerance".
  5. Ok, so the premise is badly flawed. But is the movie any fun? Only if you like gaping plot holes, characters who act in nonsensical ways, millisecond edits, numerous low angle, slow motion, 360 degree helicopter hero shots, and stuff blowing up without rhyme nor reason. Its because of kill-joy remarks like the above that l go and see a film before reading such "reviews". l loved the film. lt was a great popcorn movie. l enjoyed every minute of it. l always watch the credits at the end of a movie in admiration of the number of people and talent and effort that went into the movie. Having worked in a lab for many years, l know the great effort that must go into the technical making of the film. Its very very hard to create something out of nothing. Yet all you get from some people is mock, mock, mock, scorn, scorn, scorn. As the famous saying goes, any fool can criticise. The chinese already sell the body parts of executed criminals. Do you think chinese leaders would let morals get in the way of getting body parts for their own use. The film was a warning of what can be. Regards
  6. l admired the African-American driver in the old film "driving Miss Daisy," for his kind treatment of that crabby old woman he drove around. Even when she was rude, he responded diplomatically. He didn't hold her touchy nature against her. There's something in the popularity of the film. Regards
  7. In all of the above, just about no one seems to be observing reality. Every law in nature, eg chemistry and physics has an equal sign. Hence when l show kindness to a stranger by giving them directions, or kindness to the checkout clerk at the supermarket by pushing my groceries within his/her reach, l find l get a natural "high", a feel-good feeling. Mother nature rewards me for my kindness, establishing equilibrium. l assume tnis is what youngman had in mind when he used the term "positive energy." l think it cheap to accuse youngman of being a drug taking hippie. As the spanish proverb goes, words hurt forever. Dont the registration rules ban this sort of thing. Regards
