I find this topic very interesting too. If my "self" is something natural that is produced by my brain, then I wonder about two questions, namely: 1. Could this brain have produced another self than me? and 2. Could another brain have produced the same self that happens to be me? If the answer to the first question is "yes", then to copy the brain pattern to another location may lead to a self that is just identical to me, but who is not me, and if the answer to the second question is "yes", then I could reappear in any brain regardless of whether it is completely different from the one
