I liked that one 'hacker' guy, who hacked Al Jazeera's website when the war in Iraq started, putting up pro-American message on there (I think it was "God Bless America"). Although I could come up with a better message myself.

Take Chinese for example... Anyway - where I grew up, we didn't have problems like this, as my first language is extremely phonetic. Because of that, once you knew the sounds of individual letters, you could correctly read any combination, so that was the way we were taught in schools. There are just too many exceptions in English - and when I first started learning it, as a foreign language, I was finding it extremely frustrating. For example: door vs moon or blade vs. bladder. (although I did eventually figure out the rule behind the latter anomaly). Not to mention the fact, that you guys have a tendency to write like ten letters, only to end up reading one or two. For example: thought, through. But the relative simplicity of grammar, makes up for all the other shortcommings of English, and it's a language that just sounds 'cool', especially to my Slavic ears.

It's only a matter of time before a Muslim version of Xmas comes out.

Ever tried drinking some Nyquil (it's a cough medicine) - I use it mostly when I need to go to sleep during the day, in order to wake up in the middle of the night. I don't have any trouble falling asleep, and especially during workout days (and I live next to a very busy highway). I go to gym 3 times a week, but after work, in the evening. By the time I get back, I'm tired enough to fall asleep at will. Perhaps you could try gym in the evening, instead of mornings? Also - from what you're saying, you'd end up getting less than 5 hours of sleep a night. I see how you can do it once or twice, but after a while of doing it, aren't you sleep deprived enough, to just fall asleep earlier in the evening? By the way - if you're going to gym for bodybuilding, sleep is crucial for muscle regeneration, and unless you're getting at least 7.5-8 hours, you can forget about getting big.

All Your Base Are Belong To Us!!! They have no plural nouns in Chinese, which makes sense. If you think about it, saying somethink like: "two books", is redundant. "Two book" conveys just as much information.

I like the commentary from this website: The picture on the left is of a lucky young girl who managed to avoid being slaughtered in the name of Allah as thousands of other children and innocent people are by Islamic terrorists each year. The drawing on the right is a cartoon. Only one of these images provokes Muslims into rage, fiery demonstrations, boycotts and death threats against the perpetrators. Do you understand Islam well enough to know which one?

I'm hardly a reality TV fan, but I really like the idea, and from the preview, it looks like the make-up artists made a pretty good job. I'll be watching it tomorrow (especially since it's right after Lost), thanks for the heads up.
