  1. I operate a small academy in Utah, but I may relocate to the NY area. I am therefore seeking info on Objectivists who might be operating private schools in the Manhattan area. I am on youtube as MrCropper and cropperb. My website is http://www.cropperlyceum.com
  2. Cropper Lyceum, St George, Utah We hope to open for business this fall, August 1st or September 1st. You can see a lot of short videos about the school and my views on education, and other stuff, at youtube, where I am registered as cropperb... http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=cropperb My school will be a private, non-accredited day school for kids 4 to 14 years of age, but I will accept no children older than 5 (maybe 6) for the first year of operation. I have no religious affiliation. I am planning to give a talk in the St George area on the approach my school will take to values in education, so if you are curious, stay tuned or email me.... [email protected] Phone: (860)508-3913 I am looking for potential students and I am accepting interviews. The candidate child should be 4 or 5 years old, though exceptions may be made for 6-year olds; I prefer to start them as young as possible, since it used to be a standard in education to have the child reading easily by himself at the age of 3. I expect tuition costs to be about 10% or 20% lower than the other private schools in the area, translating to about $3,000 to $4,000 per year, or about $100 a week, or $25 a day. Again, my cantact info is below. I will have a PO box soon, and I am still looking for a business address, so if you know of a good, affordable location to school up to 12 children, in or near St George, let me know. 3. We don't have to make the bomb - we have thousands of them stockpiled, and I mean thousands. Also, I know people who live in Manhattan, and I don't want them dead. I know people who live in Israel, and I don't want them dead. Screw people who are putting up with the regime in Iran - they deserve to die and can't complain when self-defensive American bombs begin to rain down. And if they're freedom-fighters, trying to topple the Iranina regime, then they certainly wouldn't blame us for defending ourselves against their corrupt government (and culture). Brandon
  4. 12-9-06 The following letter has been “smuggled” by unspecified means by an undercover Muslim who must remain anonymous for his safety. It has been translated to English for your reading. The last several paragraphs are the most revealing, but the entire tone of the letter, with all the hate and violence, is obvious. The letter is followed by a brief commentary from a concerned patriot. A Muslim Criticizes Christmas By A. Nona Muss Praise be to Allah. There is a movie for children with the subject of a reindeer with a red nose which can lead Santa’s sleigh through dangerous fog on the night of Christmas. The red-nosed reindeer is Rudolph, and he is made to be cute, praise be to Allah. At the early part of the movie, Rudolph is skating on a frozen pond. He sees a young female deer and finds her beautiful, so he approaches her. She says, “Hi Rudolph...” and then later, “Rudolph...? I like you, Rudolph...” Rudolph skates off singing, “She likes me, she likes me!” Shown here to children by the infidels is to make a woman’s adulterous seductions the cute contemplation. Praise be to Allah, these filthy infidels do not respect the holy ways. If the rich man is too fat to ascend the mountain of virtue, then learning by seeing this man, should we then seek riches? No! Riches are evil and a temporary distraction! Peace be on Mohammed. Yet the infidel Westerner, in order to celebrate their savior, their “son of god,” will celebrate this savior by giving to one another and each relative and each friend a thing of worldly wealth, some luxury lusted after by the gift receiver. In the name of love and celebrating the almighty, they weigh themselves and loved ones down with more luxury to stop them from ascending the mountain of virtue. These vial infidels spend their time not in praising Allah, but in working and producing, that they may consume more and spend more time in material distraction. Praise be to Allah! Do they not see the true way? Remember the fat man on the mountain, heavy with wealth. If he is robbed, has his robber brought him damage, or has his robber helped him? For he has lightened the fat man’s burden, making heaven closer, and pleasing Allah. Look again at the heathen cartoon. As they teach their young such adulterous and immoral ways, are their youth not corrupted? Every Muslim must know of the huge numbers of “fatherless” births in Western nations. These “fatherless” births are not without the father because he has left, but because the girl is not sure which of the many men she has whored was the one to impregnate her! Do the infidels not see the evil of their ways? Praise be to Allah! Is it any favor to them when we allow them to live their lives this way? Each of their transgressions concretes and solidifies their evil. If we will end their life early it will be a favor to them by delivering them to Allah’s judgment before they can transgress further, and cause Allah’s feverish anger to only grow more by these further transgressions. It is the duty of each pious Muslim to do what they can to end the lives of as many nonbelievers as possible. Send your sons as martyrs to the cause! Jihad calls you to a virtuous and merciful end. Jesus of Nazareth, who the Christians call their Christ and Savior, was a pious prophet, although his greatness was eclipsed by Muhammad, peace be upon him. Let us no longer stand by as the Americans and other infidels desecrate his memory by their material filth and luxury. Praise be to Allah! Let us honor Jesus by exterminating and sending to their judgment as many Christians as possible at each Christmas season, when their evil and materialism reaches its most vial point. Allah has called you for your purpose! Praise be to Allah, for we serve in his name and we are humble in our function. The End So is Islam a religion of peace? They are advocating slaughter on Christmas, openly advocating the death and dimemberment of Americans! “Peace on earth, goodwill toward men...” Not when Muslims are near! In the constitution the words “clear and present danger” are used. Islam is as clear and presently dangerous as anyone could imagine. Today we face a threat from Islam as great or greater than the threat we faced against Hitler and Imperial Japan in WWII. AND THEY HAVE ALREADY ATTACKED. September 11 killed more Americans than Pearl Harbor. Five years after Pearl Harbor, WWII was over. It has been five years since September 11. Why are we still appeasing the terrorist nations? Make no mistake - the “terrorist” attacks are made possible by the expenditure of national resources over a period of decades by key Mideast regimes, including Iran and Saudi Arabia foremost, as well as Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Pakistan and others. I think by reading the above document, you have seen for yourself the unmitigated hatred and violence of the Muslims. Islam is NOT a religion of peace - it is an ideology of war. Please tell your friends and neighbors, spread the word that we need to defend America and freedom. We must confront Iran and Saudi Arabia in proud self-defense and insist that unless they stop preaching Death to America, they will be utterly destroyed in a war as total as the Second World War. We owe it to ourselves and our own lives and Happiness, and we owe it to every American who has ever died in the service of his nation. We cannot let our freedoms and rights expire under so petty a foe as ancient, stagnant religion. -Concerned Citizen #1
  5. I think the problem here is that Vladimir and hunterrose are uninformed about the nature and actions of the Iranian Regime. Think of the Kremlin 40 years ago, training commi-busy-bodies and sendning them all over the world. Let's say some of those busy-bodies were sent to America to hijack airplanes and fly them into our buildings. We would rightly consider it an attack from Moscow. Iran trains terrorists and pays large sums to other governments so they can do the same. I know the media isn't talking much about it, but Ted Koppel recently had a special air on Discovery Channel called "Iran: the Most Dangerous Nation" and if Ted Koppel knows about the threat, you can bet the sluggish CIA knows. But the average man on the street (or thread) is dangerously clueless. Brandon
  6. Hellooooo!!! We don't have time to wait for a "revolution"! We have to defend ourselves. Tehran is the Fatherland of terrorism, 19 of the 21 highjackers were Saudia Arabians. The purpose of the existence of Iran's government is the destruction of America. The purpose of the existence of our nukes is the destruction of threats to our lives. Iran threatens our lives. Nuke Iran. Do we need another Pearl Harbor? Was 9/11 bad enough? Brandon
  7. We have to do it in self defence. 9/11 illustrates that. Note that we had already won WWII in five years, yet five years after 9/11 where are we? The Fatherland of Terrorism is about to get nukes, and North Korea recently tested them. And why sacrifice the lives of American soldiers in a ground war like in Iraq and Germany? (Of course we beat Germany before we even had the nuke - or I'm sure we would have used it.) Search YouTube for violent Islam and spend an hour perusing. You'll find plenty of evidence. Brandon
  8. I say we owe it to the victims of 9/11. We should have done it five years ago! Five reason, go ahead. Brandon
  9. Hemingway used rather short sentences generally. Or is that what you meant? Immanuel Kant would be a better example. With his cr*p its better to scan to the end of a sentence and observe the punctuaton, even if its just to catch your breath. !And OBSERVE: !you are all continuing to use smileys at the end of the sentences Brandon.
  10. (Just so you know, Rene Descartes is the philosopher who said "I think, therefore I am." In Latin, cogito ergo sum.) Descartes walks into a bar, orders a beer, and drinks it. Bartender comes around: "Another beer, sir?" Descartes: "I think not." And **poof** he disapeared, vanished, was no more. cropperb
  11. Yeah, its free. I have close to three hours of video posted and I'm not paying anything, except I get to look at their advertising all the time. I just wanted to post this link to let everyone know that Sharia Law is already established in Britain, independent of the legal system, as an "alternative" system of courts. America next? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml...9/nsharia29.xml cropperb
  12. The link above takes you to my "channel" on youtube, where there is a lot more than the video on North Korea. Did you browse my other available videos? I have several of my own poems, recommended reading lists, anecdotes about the uneducated nature of people today, and so on. Perhaps you weren't too familiar with Youtube? Here's a direct link to the above poem, read aloud by myself: cropperb
  13. On the subject of Islam... The Muslims Are Right A poem by Brandon Cropper 11-25-06 http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=cropperb The Muslims are right, Just examine their ways And you’ll see that they’re properly frightened; The Muslims see clearly the threats to their culture, For the West is a culture Enlightened. While they tout religion and dogma and prayer, And their youth memorize the Koran, The West has its science and reason and freedom, And the sovereign rights of man. Islam preaches faith and belief - The oldest saw in all history. The West created the hypothesis, And our science reveals every mystery. Islam offers the altruist ethic: Sacrifice they call virtue. Jefferson immortalized our sacred phrase: Its happiness man should pursue. Islam claims that Sharia Law Applies everywhere on the planet. “Behead unbeliever!” they shout in a rage, “Submit infidels to the gamut!” But the West won’t give up - We’ve come way too far To submit to primordial beasts. We will not regress to their ancient and dreary Cannibalistic feast. They spend more time praying Than we spend at playing; We work while they kneel in the mosque. What will they get for their prayers when its over? Nothing! They’ll see that they’ve lost. Who will win this round? Freedom, or Islam? The West won before this began: No more religion, hatred, contrition, For we’ve found the Rights of Man. The End

  16. I was born and raised in Utah, not that that is a relevant concern, but my whole family minus one brother (two brothers, two sisters, mom, dad, 12 nieces and nephews, and I don't know how many cousins, aunts and uncles. Not that that is material either). Here is what IS relevant: I've lived in Connecticut for the last 5 years. I HATE the liberal-leftist-communist atmosphere here (the argument is isn't "should we socialize medicine?", the argument is "when should we do it and according to who's plan?"). I hate the extremely racist blacks and (most of the) Puerto-Ricans (every good black I've met has moved to CT from somehwere in the south like Georgia or whatever - almost all the ones born here have no work ethic and hate white people on principle). So Connecticut is NOT a place to stay. Also, I hate cold weather. St George, Utah, the city I plan to move to, is in the far South-West corner of the state. It is known as Utah's "Dixie" because its so warm and sunny year-round. And lastly, most relevant, if you've ever been to Utah you know how polite, well-mannered, hard-working, and well-educated the Mormons are. Also, VERY LOW CRIME, high employment rate, growing economy, lots of opportunities for investment in real-estate if you're willing to stick it out long-term (10 or 15 years), and... The citizens of mountain-western states are extremely suspicious of big government, federal spending or growth of government power. Home-schooling is fairly popular in Utah, and my early customers will possibly be home-schoolers who bring their kids for a couple hours a day to learn the specifics the parents aren't so knowledgable in. And if my academy is successful, its just a hop-skip-jump to Irvine, where I would love to help Lisa VanDamme expand and grow her academy once I have some credentials. And did I mention I hate the East Coast? Brandon
  17. He is pretty tuff, but when I have proved a point, such as the arbitrary is neither true nor false, he totally evades and goes into long, flowing "defintions" of personnal interpretations of definitions . But he's committed. It doesn't bother him that he apperently doesn't understand 90% of what I say (or he would agree, right?) because he keeps on going. And going..... I'm n ot sure I want to move there after all . But I'm sure I can find a dozen rational parents in a city of nearly 100,000. Mormons or not... Brandon
  18. Kendall, If you look closely at the dates and times of my posts, you'll see they ALL took place in about three or five feverish days. I am no longer activly arguing (if that's the word for hitting your head against a deaf brick wall ) with them. However, I continue to scandalize them by posting excerpts from TIA Daily and such... They are active in St George, and I'm moving to St George to start my school, so its one way of getting the word out, but I absolutely need to make my primary efforts elswhere. It is not a gathering of rational people, as I origianlly thought it was. Brandon
  19. Thursday, November 23, 2006 Thanksgiving Day “To Muslims: This is America” By Brandon Cropper We’ve put away our kings for good, I hope that’s where they stay. Our rulers serve for eight years max. And they’re quite poorly paid. No more men on thrones of gold Taken from the people’s hides. No more grandstand second-handers Claiming some god’s pride. We’ve dethroned the Pope as well, And separated church and state; Religions heard the first death knell; Mankind has a new clean slate. We have found a new god now - Its logic, wealth, the dollar sign, Freedom, rights and happiness - Enjoying life we call sublime. No more bowing down to need For we no longer worship god. No more hating wealth and greed - Such aberrations are so odd! But there is a people still Devout and holy in their ways, Following their god’s own will, Making nonbelievers pay. Jihad on the nonbelievers! Death to all the infidels! You shall follow Allah’s way! Or else forever burn in hell! This new threat to human life, This new promise to enslave, Is just the same stale hatred which America has finally stayed. We’ll stay free, so mark these words: Do NOT mistake our future plans: Religious power? That’s absurd! Tyrant Muslim, stay your hands! Keep Allah inside your cave, Or god’s same fate we do decree. You won’t have us as your slaves - We’d sooner die than such to be. We would first die on our feet Than kneel before your hands. You best be ready death to greet, For death’s not in our plans! Its you or us, as you’ve proclaimed. We’ve seen all this before. And who shall die? Who will be maimed? Freedom will endure! The End (Well, end of the poem, but...)
  20. I posted the question "Is this forum predominantly Mormon," and it seems that, while most are from Utah, Mormonism is perhaps the plurality (biggest single group) but mot even so much as the majority. I will say this about the Mormon religion: it was started by a young man named Josph Smith in about the 1830's, in upstate New York. If you're familiar with the several waves of religion that swept over America in the 1800's, you'll recognize the birth of the Mormon Church as being part of one of these religious revivals, otherwise known as the "Great Awakenings." Mormonism is unique in being a major religion that was started in America by an American. The Mormons are very prosperous and hard-working, they do NOT resent wealth (contradictory as that may be...), and their church is sort of infused with some basic American values which crept in as it was created by the early zealots of the faith. They were harrased and driven from place to place until they finally "headed west" in a great migration in 1848 (same year that the Communist Manifesto was published, to mention a random fact). They ended in Utah when their then leader Brigham Young, upon entering the Salt Lake valley, looked out of his wagon (he was laid up sick with a fever) and said the now-famous phrase, "This is the place." And Salt Lake City has been the world capitol of Mormonism ever since. (I was born and raised a Mormon in Utah, though I'm now a fire-breathing Objectivist, and therefore atheist.) As for the Q is all this good or bad, food comprimising with poison... Peikoff said that in the transition to a period of disintegration, it was necessary to pass through a period of misintegration, i.e. principled evil. As the Mormons are avaowed followers of Christ, I'm not sure a few "commandments" from Ayn Rand will eliminate their evil nature. Adding or creating "value" i.e. producing, is the mantra of the "Galt's Gulch" web forum, like an oft-repeated word from god. Brandon
  21. That's what's so exciting: this is like the Catholic church publishing Gallileo instead of putting him under house arrest, as they did. Brandon
  22. And get this bit, found in the post "My 2 Cents Worth": "In the end of Atlas Shrugged, there were a group of the Producers that came to John Galt's rescue. They did so even at the risk of their own lives, because they deemed it in their self-interest. To me it became apparent that each of them had a love for John Galt, and he for them.. Quote: By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." That last line is a quote from the bible. Now I've seen it all: John Galt equated with Jesus, Rearden, Dagny, Franscisco, et al equated with the disciples of Jesus. JESUS! Brandon
  23. Kinda like laughing at a bad car wreck.... its in bad taste. Don't worry, I'm moving there to open a private academy. The next generation hopefully won't be so clueless. Did you see some of the stuff they said about evolution? Here's a reply when I posted Carl Sagan's (?) metaphor of the history of earth in 24 hours. ".........It's like taking a disorganized pile of Home Depot materials and leaving them there for milenia which eventually spontaneously (not instantaniously) created an extremely ordered and well built house with indoor plumbing and forced air HVAC. But, what first happened was one nail spontaneously pounded two boards together which didn't happen until 90% of the time had passed. As soon as that happened it was just a chain reaction for the rest of the nails to pound more boards together, more material to spontaneously organize itself and create the house. This is all assuming that all of the necessary components just by chance happened to all be included in the disorganized pile. This is also discounting that all the materials in the first place had to be created by the same process in the first place. So a better analogy is that electrons, protons and neutrons were aimlessly zooming around and spontaneously combined into the elements ... no wait, where did the electrons come from? Hmm. Ok energy spontaneously created ... no wait, where did the energy come from? Hmmm. What was there first? Nothing, according to my understanding. So energy spontaneously created itself from nothing. That energy spontaneously formed into neutrons, electrons and protons. Those neutrons, electrons and protons, spontaneously organized atoms of various elements. Those atoms of various elements spontaneously organized into molecules, which spontaneously organized into the building materials that spontaneously organized into the house in question. Using haccums razor, intelligent creation is much simpler:.........." Got that? HACCUMS Not to mention all the other sick sh*t. Brandon
