1. Our nukes can be saved up for much more formidable opponents, like the afore mentioned nations China and Russia. 2. Nuclear destruction of a city can and will make many natural resources, such as oil, utterly useless. 3. We would not be able to do anything there for quite sometime, simply because of the radiation. 4. Iran can be brought to it's knees without the use of such brutal devices, especially considering the very rebellious youth that exist within Iran. I know the old speech about how people who are in guilty nations cannot be treated special, but using nukes seems absolutely unnecessary given America's vast airstrike options which don't have to lead to mass-civilian death.

I am not even speaking of the act of bombing Tehran, which would be foolish in American and corporate interests anyway. I'm speaking of a huge airstrike against their Government buildings, slaughtering the clerics that rule the nation and if it comes to it, taking out Tehran ( Not with nukes, however ). If we did that, I don't think the world would sit and watch passively, because of their hatred for America and American interests. They will not stand up to Islamic thugs like Mahmoud or Communist thugs like Chavez, but when America asserts its self interest, I think action would be taken. And of course, I am talking about a merciless and spectacular show of American Self-Assertion there, not some half-assed take over like Iraq.

Recently Russia and Iran have buddied more than in the past, which I feel is quite ironic given the Iranians feelings to the Russkies less than 20 years ago. Also, as far as I know China has supported Iran in it's nuclear processes. These are 2 giant nations, one of which is an uprising super power, and the other a recently fallen super power. If we engaged Iran in all-out War with Iran ( An action I doubt the Bush administration or any other administration will have the fortitude to initiate ), do you think it would simply be contained to the Middle Eastern front, with Middle Eastern nations, or will World Opinion of the U.S, specifically from gargantuan nations like China and Russia finally boil over and result in a possible 3rd world-wide war? And if all that may happen, do you think it would still be worth attacking Iran for?

He is considered by most to be the head of the Conspiracy theory movement, mainly the " New World Order " " Zionist " nutjobs. He's also a hardcore Christian and if you pay attention to his conspiracies it sounds much like what happens in Revelation... Powerful Jews in control ( Anti-Christ ), mass death by global elites I the huge mass of numbers that are seemingly wiped out ), chips implanted in citizens so that they may operate within the system ( The mark of the beast ) ETC. It all stems from his irrational and unfounded beliefs in quite possibly the most violent Religious text in mainstream theology, the book of Revelation.

To be fair, the words " God ", " Jesus Christ " " Goddamnit " and other blasphemous terms are thrown around this country a hell of a lot, by I'm sure Christians. Most Christians just don't take such silly guidelines seriously. Maybe if we're talking about the " Leave It To Beaver ", family values, church 3 times a week family, you might get parents yelling at their children when they say something like " God " or " Holy Crap ". But it's not like these are the people that goto church if they feel like waking up and drink a beer or two after the service.

What if it's not an absolute imminent attack, like in a week. But if we have absolute proof that a powerful nation had plans to attack within the U.S within the next year, would it be proper to go over Congressional authority? Do they have the right to jeopardize America?

A question was posed at the latest Republican debate about declaring war on a nation without the consent of Congress. Do you think it is proper for a President during a time of an actual threat ( Unlike Iraq ) to act without the approval of Congress, and essentially act against our Constitution?

I'm certain this topic has been re-hashed ( Hah..hash, funny pun...Nevermind ) on this board for ages, but I really couldn't find a topic that was too recent I would want to bring back for my purposes. Do you consider all drug use to be completely immoral? Or do you think one can make an exception for an occasional beer or glass of wine? Certainly wine has always been enjoyed by people who led very rational and productive lives. But you don't just drink any cheap wine either. ( Unless you're a drunk or poor ) So, what would be the harm in perhaps smoking a fine weed? For those that do not know, there are varying levels of weed and some have a much better " taste " and stench than others, with more powerful effects.z Now, I am aware of the argument that drugs give up the acknowledgment of reality. To partake in some drugs means you are trying to evade what is around you and this is true in many cases...But marijuana is not a drug that makes you forget about the realities of your life and the world ( unless you're a hardcore stoner ). Now, I think that drug use is a sign of weakness at most times and as I've grown from a young teenager into a young adult I don't indulge myself in the shallow pleasures of smoking a bowl of weed on the weekends. But, I really do not think there is a definitive difference between a celebration with friends involving a few sips of wine, or a celebration with friends involving a few puffs of marijuana. I've always held hardcore druggies in the deepest contempt, and stopped altogether for awhile because I just could not see myself as a pathetic addict.

That is certainly a lofty dream. It's good to see young people with original dreams. So many kids just want to grow up and become doctors or lawyers now....Oh crap, wait...
