  1. It didn't look like much to me. Just another terribly done action movie. Who knows.
  2. I love my name. Ryan, I think, is a very powerful name...Despite being ambiguous to gender.
  3. I love the blank stare on Chris's face.
  4. My father is pure Irish, my mother is Irish and Indian. Make that whatever fraction you like. That's why I chose Political Science as a major.
  5. In Soviet Russia ( Put in clever " Something something YOU! " phrase here )
  6. The last thing Russians need is more Russians.
  7. Well, that question has been argued before. I would bring to you the concept of the Religious Left, which can be seen most prominently in big Democrats like Edwards and Obama, who I think genuinely believe. Also, there are very socially conservative Dems such as Lieberman and Zel Miller ( Is that nutjob still around? )
  8. 9/11/01 was not a day I really remember being astounded. I was very young, around 12, and just didn't know the magnitude of what had happened. I didn't know who Osama Bin Laden was, I really couldn't visualize what the WTCs were and had no clue until around 12 that it was a Terrorist attack. Still, I didn't know anything. I was young. I didn't have much of a capacity for moral outrage. I was at school. We got the message, and everyone stopped to pray ( Christian school ). The rest of the day was spent in the chapel, watching this transpire on T.V. I literally watched a massacre, and was joking with my friends the whole time... Then, I don't remember if it was 9/11 or later, but we gathered to watch the President speak. He spoke of bringing men to justice and being unrelenting and unforgiving to our enemies. We know how that turned out.
  9. Man, even with a proponent of reason, this stuff is just terrible to listen to.
  10. Anyone know when it will be posted up? I'm excited to see it ( Even though my Real Player is defunct )
  11. Update! It's off again! UpUpdate! BACK ON!
  12. Staying united as one people? Okay, Mr. Toohey. You cannot protect reason when you become an irrational beast. No man should ever be forced to defend anything he does not choose to defend. That is completely contrary to what this nation was founded upon. It's slavery in the worst way. Protecting at any cost? You sound like you want to sacrifice every value you have, to sacrifice the individual, to the state. Is this true? In that case, you are no better than the enemy you claim to be fighting against
  13. I typically do go by the " Libertarian " view of Lincoln. If Reagan should not be listed in the top spot or at least in the top 3, who should? I neglected to mention JFK, this is true. But he's just so damn GOOD LOOKING
  14. Breach of the peace means what precisely? Technically soliciting sex in a public restroom could be considered " breaching the peace ", no?
  15. They emulate Dick Cheney, list Bush, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Truman and Wilson as some of the greatest Presidents and support the NeoCon war of suicide in Iraq. This is an organization that must be denounced anytime someone may ask you about them and their connections with Objectivism.
  16. I've got plenty of opinions I'm sure counter what the mods and admins hold to be true. However, I do not go crying off into the night about it if one of my posts gets edited for different reasons NOT RELATED to what was said in the thread. As DarkWaters said, good riddance.
  17. 1) Iran is a third world country without a significant military. Are you aware of what that means? It means the only impact you can have in that country is turning into a police state for a few years like Iraq, and then giving them "the gift" of democracy, i.e., doing absolutely no good at all except giving them a convenient nicely packaged enemy figure to unite against and actually fight. 2) They are a decade away from developing nuclear technology. All of the, "OMG They're Making NUKES OMG" is sensationalism, and you've apparently bought into it. 1) Iran's military employs over 900,000 servicemen. The last I checked, with reserves and national guard, we have around 2,000,000. Iran's military has enough to pose a unique threat, moreso than any nation, and they have already initiated force against us in Iraq with their Al Qud forces, whether it be through training of Terrorists or direct action. 2) So we wait until the weapons are in full stock? Now theres a good plan! Perhaps GIULIANI is not the ideal candidate, but from your perspective neither is Paul. You rightfully consider Iran a threat but say " Oh well, we can't do anything about it because we are currently bound by strict rules of engagement " Then you fight the rules of engagement. You don't just sit and elect the most pacifist member out of the entire batch of candidates. You point out Giuliani's moral outrage towards abortion, but to neglect to face the fact that Ron Paul would rather have it outlawed, on a state level. Now, RvW and abortion, along with other detractors from real issues like " gay rights " aren't at all important to me. I think Abortion is going to stick where it is, and I don't plan on having any abortions any time soon, so I don't really care. You're correct in my analysis that I am a one issue man, for the most part. I will vote in the man with the most aggressive foreign policy so long as he isn't goosestepping through the streets. It's sad we have to pick between Paleoconservative Pacifists and Big Government Republican scumbags but that's how it is.
  18. Rudy has never spoken of any Government funding of health care. And the fact that you spell it wrong, kind of shows me your true knowledge on, what did you call it, " Lazzie Faire " free markets? Paul will wage no war on any Islamic nation, especially Iran. He has stated his beiief of them as a " non-threat ", and even being wronged by America! Furthermore, Ron Paul is most undoubtably a proponent of the Just War Theory. Ron paul will not wage a war and win it, because he seeks to dismantle our very defense system by cutting military spending and abolishing the CIA!
  19. Would the world be drastically different if Islam were the dominant Religion for the past 2000 years? And is Islam inherently more violent than Christianity and other major religions because of it's murderous founder? Could Christianity be stuck in the dark ages like Islam is now?
  20. Ah, the Religious tyranny of Utah. I visited Utah this April. It's beautiful. Too bad it's been scarred by Fundamentalism of the most irrational sort. I was, in fact there, with many Christians...This was almost a forced vacation, but I made my time enjoyable. Welcome the forums.
