A real quote: "The Fountainhead is a novel about a man who follows his truth even at the cost of self-sacrifice."

      I got a better idea:

Howard Roark: Follows his own heart no matter what.

Peter Keating: Greedy, selfish, Jewish capitalist.

Ellsworth Toohey: Supposedly altruist, but it's just fiction. Represents the fact that USSR was called "communist" but it isn't really.

Dominique: Oh, she's pretty neat, I guess.

  2. Random Person # 42 : "Well, what if you are *wrong* and there is a God? You are going to roast in Hell then? Can you afford to take that chance?" Me : "Well if there is some other God that will put you in some other place like Hell, just because you believe in God? Can you afford to take that chance" Random Person #42 : "That is absurd!" Me : "Yes, you are right, your claim is absurd. I am glad you noticed." [ Conversation ends with opponent looking indignant ]

  3. Superman: I don't understand why you should be proud of your sexual tendencies.

Who is "them?" No, you misunderstood me. I have nothing against homosexuals in general. Our topic was gay 'pride.' If I were gay, I would certainly not be 'proud' of it and take part in those embarrassing parades. And no, there is nothing 'individualistic' about the opposite.

It is not a stereotype, my friend. This is what "pride parade" means.

What "individualism?" They just go around with their sexual costumes shouting that they are gay and that they want an appropriate treatment. This is called barbarism, considering them as a group even tribal barbarism, certainly not individualism. As Ellsworth Toohey once said, "[d]o you really think so?"

Well, why do? Nothing is an object of pride automatically, by default. Otherwise pride would have no value. You are proud of you achievements, not your natural attributes (gays usually claim that it is not a matter of choice, so I'll go with it). Then why should being attracted to your very sex make one proud? Why is it an achievement? Why are they all "proud?"

  8. I wonder what would be easier : Making the current generation of politicians think or building intelligent and rational androids from scratch and having them take over? The politicians often make me wonder if the the latter is not easier.

    1. Tomer Ravid

      Tomer Ravid

Exactly the same: impossible. I mean, aren't politicians androids at all?

  9. Both communism and capitalism are founded upon principles, and both concern the nature of a true entity from negative positions. No man can thus properly claim over a system to perfectly contain the good of each doctrine at one and the same time; your appraisal is a mere consequence of the independently existing fact, and no individual right is ever to be consistent with self-sacrifice.

The only economic "mixture" one can possibly perform, therefore, is the avoidance of *all moral substances*, that is, the violation of individual rights for a purpose other than 'the greatest good for the greatest number' or in the absence of any purpose at all. Contradictions can bring no good on earth.

This is now official: As a rule, the musical genre I have admired and tried to resolve whose apparent contradictions for my whole youth is *not* contemporary, sweeping aside the exception of some 'avant-garde' experiments and attempts to create music thrown into progressive rock's very cage.

  12. Multi-personality is far less tough to fall for, and far less unnormal than people tend to consider it. Translate your implicit comprehension into ideas, turn your ideas into action. Be as good as you present your ideas on the psychologist's couch (and in today's corruption, usually leave him and try to figure the issue out yourself). Do NOT ever attempt to treat anyone 'politely' if he does not deserve it. This is your greatest threat: letting alone your ideas in order to not...

      For the same reason they do not celebrate socialism memorial day the day before. That is since it is too explicit an embodiment for them. It is too clear (though the Nazis did declare the root of their morality time and time again as well) that its cause was the morality of altruism and the epistemology of mysticism;

And why would they do that, presuming it might be easily identified that the opposite doctrine is the most rational and least believing in magical means of occurring? Well, it is because their philosophy is just like the Nazis'. They feel sort of sorry for the victims of the National SOCIALISM, but they cannot feel guilty for such an extreme, radical ordeal. The reason for this unintelligible emotion to replace a truly rational study of one of the greatest, most extreme concrete sight of philosophy's importance to man's values in modern history, is their opinion of its historical causes. They think that an economical crisis (which had been caused by evil capitalism, ladies and gentlemen, could you think of a deeper contradiction?), loss in WWI and an "axiomatic" sense of hatred which exists in any human being is the cause of

Value is not a mystical deontological axiomatic duty, but rather the same as the clear, objective and practical meaning of economical value.
