OldGrayBob
I do not want to sound mean on this but if you really want to go on in Aeronautics and Astronautics, you are going to need a lot more than a book to help. You will need many courses in Physics and Mathematics including a course in Newton's Mechanics. Remember, Newton developed the Calculus to do his Physics. Good luck, work at it, and have fun doing it.
stephen_speicher
I have first semester college level knowledge of physics. Which would be the best books to read with as I want to go into aeronautics and astronautics That depends on your purpose. If you mean that you intend to systematically study those fields at a university, from the perspective of physics or engineering, and would first like to get a feel for some aspects of the subject, then I would suggest an old and inexpensive classic, An Introduction to the Theory of Aeroelasticity, Y.C. Fung, Dover. This book is far from up-to-date, but it will give you a good feel for a lot of the issues on a level accessible to you now. If, however, you mean you want to study these fields on your own, then that would require quite a detailed program to systematically study what you need to know. You will need a lot more physics and mathematics than was required for you beginning physics course, as well as a lot of specialty texts, depending on whether your focus is physics or engineering. If this is what you intend to do, though I could make a lot of specific recommendations, it would be best to consult with a specialist in that field at a good university.
