:D I was suprised to see Kant so high but maybe it's because I had all the controls set to high except the last two questions? I'm satisfied though.

I cannot believe how close to Nietzsche and Kant this test placed me. I also agree on the ambiguity.

It is sort of subjective in that I did not interpret my answers in the same light as they sometimes did. As long as Kant is not in top ten, I'm happy! :)

Which forum?

It is a small social forum called www.omni-fan.net

It used to be www.dbz-fan.net, as it used to be a fan forum for the anime "Dragon Ball z", but as our interest in dbz waned, we converted it to omni-fan and from there it has been a mere social forum. Nothing of terrible interest, but these are still my old friends, so I hold some what of a sentimental attachment to them.

Perhaps I should not have said everyone, as there are three active Objectivists at the forum. But there are also three active socialists as well, so the site does make for some pretty interesting political debate.

My current alias at the site is "Vincent" (from a game, that name has little relation to me) but for the sake of convenience I may change my name back to "The Tortured One." That has been my alias at pretty much all of the forums I go too. If you find yourself at a forum and see a "Tortured One" check it out. If the person says "Citadel cadet" in special interests or anything, it's probably me.

I'm rather worried about my results, excluding the number one slot. Looking through these responses, I've seen a few people with Kant high up. What could be the reason for this? Was there a particular question that was too ambiguous? I really don't like Kant!

The list below is modified by your input. The results are scored on a curve. The highest score, 100, represents the closest philosophical match to your reponses. This is not to say that you and the philosopher are in total agreement. However this is a philosophy that you may want to study further.

I don`t know Hobbes` ethical views, but I always had an "appeal" to his views on political origins (but not his advocate of monarchy or tyranny). About Hume- I know he denied the law of casualty so I am not sure what that says about his Ethical views. I am not sure I like his rank.

Hmm, whats the point of taking a personal test if you are trying to emulate someone else? Why would anyone want to be 100% Rand, copying, stealing her ideas and philosophy. One should try to seek out their own individual philosophy.

It seems I am now more Aristotle than Nietzsche. On a side note...my husband just re-took this test again and he now gets Ayn Rand for #1 (100%) instead of John Stuart Mill. Hope it was my influence!

I didn't read anyone else's post until after I took the test. When I went back to find my answers they were gone, and I haven't been able to retrace my steps. I took the test again and got Aristotle at %100 w/ Rand in the high 80's.

Here's what Nel Noddings says:

Traditional western ethics has oppressed female voices

We should look to traditional women's practices as a way of determining our ethics

We should use an ethics of care: emphasizing loving others, meeting needs, and nurturing.

No wonder he's so way down. :D
