airborne
What is the significance of this emotion? Boredom could be described as a lack of energy, lack of motivation and maybe a lack of challenge. I think. Have any of you professing to be Objectivist ever experienced boredom in their productive field of work? their relationships? K-Mac
I am feeling bored at work lately. We're busy and I'm challenged, but I think I'm just burned out and need a vacation. Since I haven't been able to take a real vacation in 7 years, I think I'm due.

Have any of you professing to be Objectivist ever experienced boredom in their productive field of work? their relationships? I would be surprised if many careers don't have some amount of drudgery. Mentally un-stimulating stuff that just has to be plowed through. If that is the usual state of mind though, I don't recommend keeping the job or circumstance. Ifat Glassman
What is the significance of this emotion? To get you to take your butt off the couch and start doing something fun/useful I get bored with schoolwork often (or worse. some classes are really taught badly or have a subject which is completely uninteresting), but in my chosen field of intellectual effort I always experience excitement.
