I don't see why that would be called a comic. There really isn't anything funny about it...no punchline or anything. And to boot, the drawings aren't good at all, either. *shrug* I still say my comic Logical Phalluses is much better.

The main problem I have with the comic is the context-dropping. It is never said how this Capitalist has "earned" his money (you can morally obtain money, but not have earned it, as with the case with some bum abstract artists) or what investments he made.

Also, it ignores the fact that the government has caused this economic problem by destroying or taking capital, and also driving some companies into a corner, such as health insurance companies that have to offer equal coverage but are forbidden to raise their rates (thus driving them out of business, though ignorantly unintentionally).

It's actually quite funny. I laughed out loud. Not exactly "OMG THIS IS HILARIOUS", but it's a decent cartoon.

People don't get paid based on how smart they are, they get paid based on how productive they are. A "capitalist" (the term is incorrect, since he is actually describing a manager) that does not produce, that wrecks his company, may legitimately own the money he got paid, but he does so as a sort of second-hander. As such, it's not offensive.

The ignorance here is that this isn't capitalism, but the opposite. And the comment says "This isn't capitalism, it's corportism!" Well, not a lot of people are saying the U.S. system is capitalism, just capitalistic. And they won't admit it's socialistic, they have to make a new word for it so they don't associate it with socialism.
