Rational Basis For Boredom?

Recommended Posts

If I wanted to skate bad enough I would walk out of my job and do it. That's why I walked out of a few jobs before, because I wanted to skate.

Most people cannot afford to do that, so must stay in the boring situation described.

Does feeling bored improve your state of being at all? If so, how? If not, then why get bored?

By that argument we should never feel any negative emotion, because they almost never improve our state of being. But it simply is not true that we should never feel any negative emotion.
