This is where I will share any creative projects that I've made, since I haven't created enough in any one medium to necessitate a whole thread.

First off is a poem that I wrote in a pictures thread on another forum. Someone had posted a close-up picture of a beard, and a girl named L.Cully basically said that beard closeups gross her out. So I decided to write a poem in response.

Ode to the beard

Dedicated to L.Cully and the bearded ones

O, the splendid bushy beard, so bountiful and great,

Brings function, form, and merriment, with negligable weight.

A beard is quite the helper, keeping frostbite off your chin,

And handy with group photos, for locating you within.

A beard may accidentally catch crumbs that fall astray;

Distasteful, yes, but one less floor you'll have to clean today.

While some out there may think it's "posh" to only grow goatee,

I say to them, "If only once, let follic roots live free!"

For though I cannot claim to understand exactly why,

A bushy beard does often lend a twinkle to the eye.

Now, I don't mean to intimate that beards can't be pristine--

It's often fun to shape and trim, to comb, to wash, to preen.

(Though after that "unmanly" line, I feel obliged to say

That no, my inclinations do not "swing the other way".)

But back to what's important, so that I am not remiss:

Hopefully not ALL the beards are bound for prejudice?

For Cully may find foliage on once-unbearded pal;

They're not for wizards only, see, or toolmen named Al.

I'm sure she'll have the courage, then, to still walk hand in hand

With newly bearded buddies, vastly strewn about the land.

...And while she claims the closeup makes her feel weird, you know

She’s thinking: "Would that I could have a bushy beard to grow..."
