You hate when I start venting

About the tantrums that you've thrown

I will not treat you gently

Not with the tactics that you've shown

Your arguments are empty

And your premises still roam

Your certainty is plenty

On how nothing can be known

Your emotions are so vast

With your sympathies bemoaned

Your contempt for me is masked

With a well-intentioned tone

With your riddles not yet grasped

You claim my mind hasn't grown

But it's this mind that will last

When your system is dethroaned

Everyone can disagree

I'll still stand this ground alone

Try to hide the best in me

My life you will still not own

My word you can take to task

You'll forever fetch the bone

Though I may be an outcast

You're still a ****ing drone

Nice.

Why the self-censorship?

I think the people here can handle a spade being called a spade, or a drone being called a fucking drone for that matter. :D

Robert, this is an enjoyable bit of verse. I can relate to it, and I say with considerable confidence that most Objectivists would also relate to it. In fact, it reminds me of every single day in my workplace. It reminds me of every single family gathering. It reminds me of the moldering collectivist platitudes that are taken for truth in our society. It is the choked-back battle cry, spoken quietly through gritted teeth, of the individual against the collective. It is the voice of the rational individual who feels a just anger at the irrational state of the world around him.

I like it a great deal. Thanks for sharing it with us.
