Ok, stuff like this really burns me. I'm not some pro-Palin person but the evil seething hatred that the far-left perpetrates on the right is just disgusting

In the latest of a series of invasions into Sarah Palin’s personal life, hackers have broken into the Republican vice presidential candidate’s private e-mail account, and a widely read Web site has published screen grabs from it.

An article Wednesday in Gawker.com posts family photos and snapshots of e-mail exchanges the Alaska governor had with colleagues. Gawker says the-email account has since been shut down, but it will leave the images up on its site for all to see.

The article David linked was trying to claim 4chan was behind it. It appears it's up on the air, 4chan is saying it's Gawkers or something else. If it was 4chan, they were probably just looking for porn or something to laugh at. :)B)

Edit: I'm not excusing the fact that she was violated. I'm just saying it could of been something far worse.

It's being reported that popcorn was not her password -- though it is safe enough for any account that guards against trial and error attacks. The person who broke in is said to have requested Yahoo to reset her password, providing her Zip Code and Birthdate and answering "high school" to the challenge-question of where she met her husband.

Of course, if she had thought about it a bit, she'd have realized that those things are really simple to find out or to guess.

With more and more things going online, people need to understand that breaking and entering online is no more or a "prank" than if someone broke into a home and walked through it checking out private articles and papers, without taking anything.

It's easy to have knee-jerk reactions and simply blame everything on liberals. It really is. And, you know, on occassion, you're right. But the 4chan crowd is a bit to the right of center, and they often preach anarchy. They are quite anti-regulation.

Seething hatred? Really? I hear Hannity say that all the time.

I check democraticunderground.com every so often just to see what they're complaining about on any particular day and they're absolutely rejoicing over this vile invasion of privacy.

Probably because to them, the 'karma' of wiretapping Americans seems abhorent? Honestly, this is just the beginning to the hackers. While I agree that it is an invasion of privacy, it would be interesting to find how much dirt is found through piercing the veil of government secrecy.
