I think this same exact guy trolled the CapMag forums a few years ago. He's upset because his girlfriend or sister or something had an abortion. So we wages war over the Internet against abortionists.

Normally I advocate ignoring trolls, but after I zipped the admins a note, he was posting so fast I decided to see if I could occupy him. Luckily the calvary showed up (thanks David O!)

As a rule, I don't delete posts permanently, so the admins and the members at large can review moderator actions.

In this case, the troll messaged me personally before he went on his spree and promised, among other obscenities, to "fuck your forum until everyone leaves." He was using an anonymous proxy, so he was clearly here to start trouble. (Last time someone threatened me, he made the mistake of doing so from his university computer.) By the time I read his message, he had started 38 threads. I decided that best way to discourage malcreants is to show their attack have utterly no effect.

By the way, and I don't know if this is related at all, but the web server running this site has been under a major bot attack (many computers trying to guess the admin password) for the last few days. I had make some changes just to prevent the server from grinding to a crawl.

Really?! Did he say why he was doing it? Like I said above, there was this really similiar troll on the CapMag forums a while back so I'm wondering if this is same guy who is literally out to get us.

Yeah, the site actually wasn't working for me for the entire weekend and it was running really slow. Maybe it's related? Also, on the old CapMag forums after the troll guy came in, like a month or two afterwards, the entire forum went to hell. Posts weren't showing up by users and the only posts that showed up were advertisments for porn, auto insurance, horoscopes and penis enlargers.

Don't mean to sound paranoid, but I'd hate for the same thing to happen here.

Open your eyes people!! "Ray Gold" is clearly just an alias, and he was directly sent by Frank G. Wisner to infiltrate this forum, in order to disrupt our efforts to expose the government, so he can live a "fat cat" life with taxpayers dollars.
