Equality-DX
Hello. My name is David and I'm from Scotland, currently residing in, working in and studying in the nations capital. I'm a psychology student in my third year. Besides my studies I'm also the lead singer in an Industrial metal band and an avid writer. The book which I'm currently writing is my attempt to document my ideas, which in turn are heavily influenced by the work of Ayn Rand and Friedrich Nietzsche. I got into Objectivism about a month ago, so I'm quite new to the ideas although I have had encounters with them in the past, it is only recently that I've accepted them and saw truth in them. I actually got into Objectivism because of a t-shirt worn by Tripp Eisen, the former guitarist in Static-X and dope, he would wear t-shirts with titles such as "Who is John Galt?" Currently I'm reading Atlas Shrugged and I have also read Anthem, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It is funny, I was a socialist for years, Ayn Rand's work, especially anthem finally brought sense to me, I also realised that socialism never made me happy because it never gave me a drive to achieve. Since I've become influenced by objectivism I've started working harder and I've become more confident as a person. Anyway I hope to talk to you all soon and I wish you all the best.
