Read all about it, try it out and get your own

This can be your FireFox homepage. Uses javascript apps that I found and integrated into a larger system, which did not seem to displease the writers since I did inform them and got no response. I also left the app author notification intact as requested which fullfilled the authors' terms of free usage. Sort of like the guy who invented sliced bread; he invented neither bread nor the slicing machine but brought the two together.

I did not stop to think that my entire website could fit in this category. My primary interest was to present Space Patrol to both old "space dogs" like myself to "refresh the soul" and provide the "emotional fuel" by showing that it matters to a real person. Next to present it to persons who never knew it existed or only heard of it. In that regard I have succeeded very well, earning the accolades of both Jean-Noel Bassior ("thanks for keeping the flame alive" I plan to go beyond that) and Dr Warren Chaney, Which alone make it a success. I wanted to present SP in both an informative and experiential way. Well, the informative is gotten mostly from other sites like IMDb. I added my own take in a couple of places but that was it.

I'm big on doing things: DOING IS LIVING LIVING IS DOING. So you use the site as a venue for activity of many kinds. To facilitate this, I developed

85% of which I had no idea of how I would bring off when I started. At that them the big interactives were a message board and guestbook and a few minor things but the idea of an ameteur site being geared toward interactivity on the level that I envisioned was Cyber-sci-fi.

I found what I was looking for as part of an unrelated endeavor. A better virtual desktop calculator . I found some of the keys to the Windows unit unreadable so I set out for something better and found javascript and a gazillion applications that I could use for many other things with just a bit of customizing work

To see just what that grew into. read

It then grew to include a celebration of the world of the 1950-63 period

including the music that "cadets" grooved to in their teenage years

http://spaceojuke.spacepatrol.us

It then became just a matter of course that I would have ideas about the present world

Then I added my take on the music, instruments and some of the better aspects of the culture of the Classic Rock era

What would be the philosophical system that would make possible the world embodied in the scientific utopia of the Thirtieth Century as well as best fit the sense of life of the tiemfram that I was working from

In fact, for me. Space Patrol and the Randian philosophical system mesh like geras As I say about both "One is a beacon from a bright and interesting future and the other is the means to get there".

No, I did not start with all of this in mind. I had the basic premises for the site and from there it made itself and is still doing so.

so

Enjoy
