Even their own website is scary as hell! Look at that logo and their acronym...Rand couldn't have come up with something better! <_< How do you fight this?

This article from eight years ago, which predicted the current crisis, discusses ACORN's detrimental impact on banks.

Been known as leftist garbage for years. I read about them in Reason magazine in the 1983-4 timeframe. They inflatrate real community orgaizations then commify them. that happened here in 1985. I was a regular caller to the local talk show and one of the members of a local community group mentioned them. I called in and went through the litany and this group member called the next day and said I was off-base. Well about two months later she called back and said she had to resign from the group because ACORN was turning it into an ideological, rather than local-oriented, group.

Also look out for another Red herring. The Institute for Policy Studies. So far left they left reality. Also ID'ed in Reason magazine

Now that mood rings, leusure suits and pet rocks are making a comback, you might alos read teh early '80's article on "weatherization" a 1970's religious practice. Also find ACCESS To ENERGY'S articles on weatherization and lung cancer and Petr Beckmann was not given to readiation hysteria.
