Steve D'Ippolito 30
Heh. On the other hand I could certainly sympathize with an argument that he didn't deserve the job in the first place.

megr.ferg 0
A second hander gets his ass handed to him, fine by me. Obama effectively nationalizes one of the largest manufacturers left in the US. Not fine by me.
Jake_Ellison 26
Making cars is a competitive business, and with trade deals with Japan and Europe in place, there's no way they're going to reign in all the competition. Sure, they will try, by constantly changing the standards on what's green and therefor allowed to be registered in the US, but Europe has pretty strict standards too, so it won't work very well. So we should just sit back and watch the government fail miserably at making cars. In fact they will do even worse than GM did (it will be ridiculous and very obvious how badly they will do), and Detroit will be a wasteland in no time at all. I would like to say that it's Obama who is destroying this industry in the US, but it's been wrecked for a while. Obama just increased the dosage of arsenic he claims is supposed to cure it. K-Mac 0
Now the government can replace him with an Orren Boyle and finish driving GM out of business. Edited March 30, 2009 by K-Mac
Space Patroller 0
Exactly. This is fascism. There is nothing at all good about it. The 2011 Obamobile by Government Motors; a wholly owned subsidiary of Congress and the UAW
gags 2
The whole industry is a train wreck, courtesy of government meddling in private enterprise. Watching the Feds run a car company might be comical if it they weren't screwing with the lives of millions of people.
