Rearden_Steel
I saw a new Atlas Shrugged cut out display at B&N today. I thought it pretty cool. Edited June 11, 2009 by Rearden_Steel
Rearden_Steel
I tried to add a picture but for some reason its not showing up in the post. When I preview the post its there but not in the post itself.
brian0918
Link doesn't work. I click it, and it says: "Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available." If you can't figure it out, email the image to my username at gmail.com and I'll post it. K-Mac
I was in a Borders Bookstore a few weeks back and they had AS right up front in their Best Sellers display. It was #7. Edited June 11, 2009 by K-Mac

Zip
Nice. I was disappointed when I went to Chapers last week and they didn't have a single copy of AS.
Thomas M. Miovas Jr.
I'm curious about something, why is it that some images show up without having to be logged in, such as this image of B&N Ayn Rand display, while some require logging in? Was this image drawn from a website, or is it uploaded to oo.net? I do think it's great that Ayn Rand is becoming so popular. Back thirty years ago, I couldn't find anyone else who had even heard of her, aside from bookstore owners. Boy, things have changed for the better
brian0918
I tried uploading, but then I got the same error as the original message - even I didn't have permission to view my own attachment. So I uploaded it externally and linked to it here.
Rearden_Steel
Thanks for the help Brian. I've posted images to OO.net before without a problem so I don't know what happened. In response to Thomas I took the photo with my phone then tried to upload it. BTW I was impressed that several books had been purchased from the display already as you may be able to tell from the pic. I also saw several people stop and look at the display. Jill
Fantastic! And with the beautiful covers as well.
khaight
Nice. I was disappointed when I went to Chapers last week and they didn't have a single copy of AS. That could be a bad thing or a good thing... if they had copies before and people bought them, that would be good.
earwax
The fountainhead was on display at a Chapters/Indigo I went to. It was on display with several other books with a sign that said something like "books you should read before you turn 17." Could have been 18. I don't know. Jill
So if you just happen to find the books when you are 19, you just kill yourself, right? Ageist marketing is unnecessary.

The Lonely Rationalist
Yeah, I saw a similar situation at my local Borders store. Went there about 3 months ago. They had 2 softcover versions of AS and 1 The Fountainhead. Just went back recently, they now had 10 copies (some hardcover) of AS, 3 of The Fountainhead, 2 of Anthem and 5 of the new We the Living edition.
