Juxtys
It seems like a nice article at first sight, but attacks on intellectual property in some of the comments made me uncomfortable. I know that it's hard to patent an idea or a new product and everything is easier to bigger companies, but why the government is any better than the corporations? Grames
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/8233455.stm Thoughts? Patents are not so terribly expensive in the U.S. and there are many discounts for small inventors. It is also possible to avoid lawyer fees by filing pro se. The allowance fee for the 20 year term of a patent can be paid in installments, or the patent can be allowed to lapse early by not making payments. Anyone capable of running a small business is capable of paying for a patent.
