Reidy
After several years I'm still listening to by Lauridsen. It's the most wonderful piece of music written in my lifetime. (The link takes you to part 1; related links at the right will take you to the rest of the piece. Schlock visuals.)
Alfa
Possibly my favorite song, and this rendition is beautiful to both eyes and ears.
Uriah
Slaves for Life- Amaseffer Nada, are you familiar with Orphaned Land? This one is for you!
Spiral Architect
Orphaned Land is aqn excellent band. A very original combo of death and folk music from the the Middle-East. It's Sunday so we're up to something lighter and fun. Didn't see a good video for Count Basie that I liked so here it is the Jerry Lewis film that made it famous to later generations. Good times: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.c...bed/8MA3406YJUg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Edit: OK, I tap out. How do I embed these things? joojie
Fall Out Boy. Jimmy Eat World. My Chemical Romance. In my opinion, the three best bands ever made (Green Day a close fourth)

volco
wow las fleurs del mal, my brother used to torture me with that back in the 80s. thanks for the dubious memories. (not that there's NOTHING new in the world, but creation vs invention, eh?!) this is eastern music that at one point sounds like Bach. The wrapper's better too. volco
and back to the West, and in time to the only person who competes with Bach for the title of 'Best'. Thanks to Spinosi and his Ensemble Matheus for reviving so many of Vivaldi's works. btw, along with these two piesces consitute the score of a film by a pretentious European director. Can you identify the film? Credit where credit is due: who thinks the film in question is not worthy of Vivaldi?
volco
Delightful piece of Americana in the twilight of its apex decade (prove me wrong!) And some of the first signs of American cultural influence in Britain

Nicky
Ayumi Hamasaki. I've heard her music before (she's very popular), but never thought much of it (it's pretty standard pop/soft rock). But holy crap is she spectacular live: (this is just a sample I found on youtube, but the whole show is great)
